A little bit about me

I came to this work with a background in sports and performance psychology, and I have spent the years since layering in everything I could find that would help me understand the horse and rider more completely: myofascial release for humans and horses, biomechanics, Pilates, somatic movement, Neuro-kinetic therapy. I trained in Marijke De Jongs’ Straightness Training program and have had the privilege of learning from Gilberto Filipe, Miguel Undabarrena, Victor Pozzo, Tina Verder and Bruno Gonzalez, Laine Muir French, and Barbier Classical Dressage- each one leaving something in my riding I carry forward.

I have also written two equestrian movement manuals, a children's book about Stella, and am in the midst of writing a novel that has been quietly living in my bones for years. Writing has always been part of how I process and share what I learn, and it's becoming more central to the work.

I am currently working toward my Equine and Small Animal Osteopathy certification… because apparently there is no finish line in this work, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My work is rooted in the belief that riding challenges are rarely just about riding. When something isn't working in the saddle, I look at the whole picture- the body, the mind, the history, and the horse and that's usually where the path forward begins.
